Job summary

Objective Personnel in Meyersdal, Gauteng seeks an experienced Accountant to manage financials for two subsidiaries within a group of companies. You will maintain fixed asset registers, prepare monthly reports, budgets, forecasts, and year-end packs.

The role requires a BCom in Accounting or similar, SAICA/SAIPA articles preferred, strong Excel skills, and Sage/Xero experience. Willingness to travel between Meyersdal, Isando and Vanderbijlpark with your own car is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years post articles experience required.
• Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
• SAICA/SAIPA articles preferable, but not essential.
• Professional membership with an accounting body is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated Accountant for 2 subsidiaries within a group of companies.
• Prepare and maintain fixed asset registers.
• Monthly reporting.
• Maintain and update budgets and forecasts.
• Review payments.
• Weekly revenue and debtors reports.
• Year-end reports and packs.
• Assist and support the Financial Manager.
• Responsible for all journals.
• Compile General Ledger reconciliations and reviews.
• Processing and maintaining cashbooks.
• Prepare monthly tax returns for approval.
