Job description

Including but not limited to the following:

  • You will develop strong relationships with your assigned accounts and grow each account according to your objectives.
  • You are responsible for the bids allocated to you. You will respond to these bids in a timely manner and log them properly in the MR system.
  • You will follow and understand the pricing and feasibility grid, adhere to timeline recommendations, and have a good understanding of the client's business. Seek advice from the fieldwork team for market specifics to provide the best possible and accurate bids.
  • You will follow up on bids, keep records of outcomes, and discuss strategy changes with the Managing Director if needed.
  • You will prepare client contracts based on templates and review the accuracy of client commissioning documents.
  • You will ensure excellent project delivery by working with and guiding the fieldwork team, briefing them on project and client specifics, and supporting escalations.
  • You will collaborate with the sales team to achieve company goals.
  • You should evaluate current processes and practices, suggesting improvements to the Managing Director.
  • You will actively network within existing and new client contacts for potential new business and prospects.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Junior Account Managers should go beyond just knowing their clients' businesses. They should be capable of applying this knowledge in discussions with clients and briefing the project team.

Productive Client Relationships:

The Account Manager should foresee and prevent potential problems in client-initiated projects/bids, working with the fieldwork team to manage expectations and deliver optimal outcomes.

New Business Culture:

Embrace a vibrant, competitive, and supportive business development culture, focusing on prospecting and acquiring new accounts.

Presentation and Communication Skills:

Expect strong competencies in client presentations, project reviews, and participating confidently in kickoff calls alongside the Managing Director.

Teamwork:

The Account Manager acts as the central coordinator, providing accurate briefings and ensuring information availability for the team and other departments. They should exercise judgment in seeking guidance when needed and offer support proactively.

Financial Responsibility:

Projects should be sold based on feasibility guidelines and pricing lists, following discount plans, and seeking approval from the Head of Business Development for cost reductions.

Creative Thinking:

Ability to think beyond the obvious and find innovative, relevant solutions is vital.

Personal Qualities:

This role requires enthusiasm, pride in continuous improvement, eagerness to learn, and exceeding expectations and targets.
