Greys Recruitment in South Africa is seeking a 7-Ton Forklift Driver to safely operate a 7-ton forklift for the loading, offloading, moving, and storage of materials and products within the client’s premises.

Minimum requirements include Grade 12, 7-ton forklift experience, chemical industry advantage, valid forklift operator’s licence, safety knowledge, ability to handle heavy materials, and good communication and reliability.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) required.
• 7-ton forklift experience essential.
• Chemical industry experience advantageous.
• Valid forklift operator’s licence or certificate.
• Strong safety awareness and load-handling knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and follow-instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 7-ton forklift safely to move heavy materials and products.
• Load and offload goods from trucks and storage areas.
• Transport materials between receiving, storage, production and dispatch.
• Stack and store products in designated locations.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and report defects.
• Ensure loads are balanced and within capacity.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental procedures.
• Comply with chemical-handling procedures and site safety requirements.
• Assist with stock movement and warehouse activities.
• Maintain accurate records of goods moved.
• Keep forklift and area clean and organized.
• Report damaged stock, unsafe conditions, incidents, and malfunctions.
• Wear PPE at all times.
