Placements24 is seeking a seasoned 5G Network Deployment Specialist to lead end-to-end rollout of 5G networks in the Tembisa area. You will manage site surveys, civil works, antenna installations, and the commissioning of radios, baseband units, and power systems.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure on-time delivery, maintain safety standards, and produce thorough site documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in mobile network deployment (LTE/5G).
• Experience with RAN deployment including site acquisition and installation.
• Familiarity with 5G NR, MIMO, beamforming.
• Experience with network testing and commissioning tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specs.
• Strong PM and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel within Tembisa region and hold a valid driver's license.

Requirements

• Proven experience with RAN (Radio Access Network) deployment, including site acquisition and installation processes.
• Familiarity with 5G NR standards and key technologies (e.g., MIMO, beamforming).
• Experience with network testing and commissioning tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage field teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the Tembisa, Gauteng region and occasional site visits.
• Valid driver's license.
