Placements24 is seeking a dedicated 5G Network Deployment Engineer to roll out next-generation mobile infrastructure in Nelspruit and the Mpumalanga region. You will install, configure, and commission 5G base stations, perform site surveys, and ensure deployments meet design specs and performance standards.

This role requires hands-on experience with 5G equipment and a solid understanding of deployment processes, NSA/SA modes, and RF principles.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated 5G Network Deployment Engineer to play a crucial role in rolling out next-generation mobile infrastructure in Nelspruit and the surrounding Mpumalanga region. You will be responsible for the physical installation, configuration, and commissioning of 5G network elements, ensuring they meet design specifications and performance standards. This role requires hands-on experience with 5G equipment and a strong understanding of deployment processes. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission 5G base stations and related network equipment.
• Perform site surveys and prepare detailed deployment plans.

• Ensure all deployments adhere to safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile network deployment, with specific experience in 4G/LTE and/or 5G.
• Hands-on experience with 5G RAN equipment (e.g., radios, basebands) from major vendors.
• Understanding of 5G architecture, including NSA and SA modes.
• Familiarity with RF principles and basic antenna systems.
• Ability to read and interpret network design blueprints and technical documentation.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
