Job summary

Imizizi is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, deploy and operate production-ready business applications with 24/7 support, leveraging Apache Kafka/Kafka Streams and event-driven architectures.

You will ensure quality through ISO-compliant documentation, code standards, performance tuning, and proactive knowledge sharing, while applying cloud-security patterns to deployments and mentoring colleagues within an Agile team.

Qualifications

• Relevant IT degree or equivalent experience.
• Cloud certifications (Developer Associate minimum, Professional preferred).

Responsibilities

• Experience with Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams
• Experience designing and implementing event-driven solutions
• Experience with Design and Evaluation of Efficient Algorithms (Complexity Theory)
• Experience with Performance Testing and Tuning
• Design, develop, deploy, and operate production-ready business applications. (24/7 Support) Liaise with customer, team members and external vendors Monitoring and operation of applications.
• Applying cloud-security patterns and concepts to the solutions and deployments
• Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements.
• Identify risks / impediments, proactively resolve and/or escape to the relevant parties.
• Comply with Code Compliance & Unit Testing standards and practices.
• Prepare system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards).
• Pro-active knowledge sharing, mentoring, and coaching of members from the same or other teams.
• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM)Team Charter
