Job summary

Imizizi in Pretoria is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with Warehouse Management expertise to design and implement complex SAP solutions. The role focuses on ABAP development, WM optimization, and integration within an AI-enabled SAP landscape.

The position requires at least 6 years ABAP experience (2+ years WM) and an SAP ABAP Certification. You will collaborate with IT and business teams, participate in UAT, and support go-live with hyper-care.

Qualifications

• 6+ years ABAP development experience, including 2+ years WM experience.
• SAP ABAP Certification.
• Experience designing and delivering SAP solutions in WM, Logistics Execution or Production Planning domains.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex SAP ABAP solutions to meet business requirements.
• Champion and drive an AI Native framework within an SAP landscape to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements.
• Maintain and optimise existing warehouse management features.
• Perform system testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Create technical documentation including functional specifications and user manuals.
• Support Go-Live preparation and hyper-care activities.
• Troubleshoot SAP functionality issues and manage production incidents with on-call duties.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Duties include, but not limited to:
• Design and develop complex SAP solutions to meet business requirements.
• Champion and drive an AI Native working model and framework within an SAP landscape, resulting in tangible efficiency gains and cost reductions when compered to “as-is” working model.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
• Maintaining and optimising existing implemented warehouse management features.
• Perform system testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including functional specifications and user manuals.
• Support within the feature Go-Live preparation and post Go-Live activities such as hyper care.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP functionalities.
• Responsible for managing potential production incidents as part of the DEV team, including on-call duties approximately five times a year for 3rd level support.
• Interaction with IT and business stakeholders through meetings, calls and emails.
• Presenting concepts, specifications and implementations for IT and business stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices in warehouse management. Any additional responsibilities assigned as per the Agile working Model Team Charter.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• BSc Computer Science degree or equivalent and relevant qualification from recognised South African university.
• SAP ABAP Certification.
• Minimum of 6 years ABAP experience, incl. minimum 2 years WM experience.
