Job summary

ATS Client in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer focused on HR data management and enterprise applications in a dynamic global IT environment.

You will debug, develop, and enhance ABAP programs, integrate with Fiori/UI5, and collaborate with HR stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

Experience in ABAP development with HR modules.
Knowledge of SAP integration technologies (ODATA/Webservices).
Proficiency in SAP Workflows and HR data management.
Experience with Fiori/UI5 integration.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira tooling.

Responsibilities

Debug and troubleshoot ABAP coderesolving coding and performance issues
Develop programs, function modules & reports based on functional requirements
Enhance standard SAP functionality using User Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancements
Create interfaces with different integration technologies (ODATA, ALE, file-based and more)
Design UI elements with SAP GUI, Web-Dynpro, UI5/Fiori
Ensure clean, efficient, and maintainable code
Collaborate with functional consultants and stakeholders
Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Create, execute and document unittest cases in JIRA
Document work in the required format (e.g. interface specifications)
Follow agile working methodologies
Manage general queries of colleagues and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner

The role focuses on HR Data Management solutions for workforce master data and process management, including reporting, information management, and self-service functionalities.
