Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Dispatcher in Mossel Bay to lead flight planning and operational control. You will coordinate with pilots and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant operations.

You will monitor weather, calculate fuel, and issue critical advisories while maintaining thorough records. A certification in flight operations is required, with willingness to work nights and weekends for 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

• Certification or license as an Aircraft Dispatcher (e.g., ICAO Flight Operations Officer).
• Proven experience in flight planning, operational control, or airline dispatch.
• Strong understanding of aviation meteorology, navigation, and aircraft performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and approve flight plans, considering weather, air traffic, aircraft performance, and regulatory constraints.
• Monitor flight progress in real-time, adjusting routes or schedules as conditions change.
• Calculate and manage fuel requirements with reserves for all flights.
• Provide pilots with weather updates, NOTAMs, and operational advisories.
• Maintain records of flight operations and related documentation for compliance.
