Job summary

Imizizi seeks an experienced SAP Security and Authorisations specialist to lead design, implementation and governance of security across the SAP landscape, including ECC and S/4HANA.

You will design scalable role concepts, lead security workstreams on large programs, support audits, and mentor junior consultants while driving automation and best practices. Strong collaboration with Functional, Basis, Development and Architecture teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of SAP Authorisations experience in enterprise environments.
• Extensive expertise in SAP Security across ECC and S/4HANA.
• Experience securing multiple SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD).
• Strong background in SoD, audits and security governance.
• Proven ability to lead security workstreams on large programmes.

Job description

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• 8–12+ years of SAP Authorisations experience within complex SAP landscapes.
• Expert knowledge of SAP Security and Authorisations across ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong experience securing multiple SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD etc.).
• Expert knowledge of SAP Fiori Security, Launchpad, Spaces & Pages, Catalogs, Business Roles and related authorisation concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP Gateway, ICF, OData Services and HTTP-based security.
• Expert use of SAP authorisation troubleshooting tools (STAUTHTRACE, STUSERTRACE, Gateway Error Logs etc.).
• Advanced expertise in role design, SU24, SU25, organisational levels and role optimisation.
• Strong understanding of SAP transport management (CALM/ChaRM) and secure deployment processes.
• Extensive knowledge of Segregation of Duties (SoD), SAP security governance and audit requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead security workstreams independently and mentor junior consultants.
• Advanced Excel, automation and reporting skills.
• Audit support experience.
• Technical documentation and solution design.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

• SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS/IPS) and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Agile delivery using Jira and Confluence.
• Scripting or automation for SAP Security administration.
• AI tools (Co-Pilot, Joule etc.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the design, implementation and governance of SAP security solutions across the SAP landscape.
• Design and maintain scalable, compliant role concepts aligned to business and security requirements.
• Lead security activities during SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations and S/4HANA transformation
• projects.
• Perform advanced authorisation analysis and resolve complex security issues.
• Conduct Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis and implement appropriate risk mitigation.
• Review and approve role designs, SU24 proposals and security configuration.
• Provide expert guidance on SAP Fiori, Gateway, ICF and OData security.
• Ensure transport governance and secure deployment through CALM/ChaRM processes.
• Support audit activities by providing security evidence, documentation and remediation plans.
• Develop and maintain SAP security standards, procedures and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Functional, Basis, Development and Architecture teams to deliver secure solutions.
• Mentor junior consultants and provide technical leadership within the SAP Security team.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation and security best practices across the SAP landscape.
• Act as the SAP Security subject matter expert for projects, operational support and governance initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• 8–12+ years of SAP Authorisations experience in enterprise environments.
• Multiple full lifecycle SAP implementation, upgrade or migration projects.
• Proven experience leading SAP Security workstreams on large programmes.
• Extensive experience in enterprise role design, security architecture and governance.
• Strong Applications Operations and production support experience.
• Experience working with auditors, architects, business stakeholders and development teams.
• Experience coaching or mentoring SAP Security consultants.
