Job summary

Chevron Global Technology Services (CGLOBTECH), located in Barcelona, Edo. Anzoátegui, Venezuela, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing, purchasing, and order management to ensure timely delivery at the best total cost of ownership.

The role also coordinates transportation and promotes standardization and compliance. This position supports the Category team with analysis, annual contracting plans, and cost improvement targets.

Qualifications

• Engineering or related field degree.
• Must be proficient in English: written and interpersonal communication.
• Teamwork and customer service focus (capacity to respond to multiple end users).
• Experience with any SCM ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Carry out RPX (request proposal/quotation/information) for a particular material.
• Issue PO according to internal clients’ requirements.
• Properly manage stock material requests to avoid stockouts.
• Develop negotiation strategies and synergies opportunities.
• Ensure right materials arrive on time.
• Track PO to ensure on-time delivery (OTD).
• Coordinate inspections when required.
• Develop BPA with strategic contractors.
• Achieve savings through successful negotiations.
• Develop annual Category Contracting Plan and cost improvement targets; identify opportunities with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Monitor cost savings regularly.
• Maintain stakeholder communication via meetings, visits, and monthly reports.
• Identify and drive toward common policies to reduce cost and support tech improvements.
• Compliance: obtain supplier information for due diligence; provide STARS guidance.
• Maintain records and assist audits.
