DAVIS is seeking a Senior Virtual Construction Engineer to lead BIM/VDC workflows on complex construction projects. You will oversee federated models, supervise clash detection, and coordinate multi-discipline efforts while mentoring junior staff.

Independent management of model setups and QA/QC procedures ensures accuracy and timely delivery. This role requires strong communication with project teams and leadership capabilities.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field
• Minimum of three (3) years VDC experience
• Advanced proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Navisworks, Revit and AutoCAD
• Ability to independently manage federated models, clash detection, and coordination issue resolution
• Deep understanding of point cloud processing and its incorporation into VDC efforts
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
• Strong communication skills with project teams and leadership
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proven experience leading coordination efforts on active construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction documents, building systems, assemblies, phasing, and trade coordination workflows
• Ability to interpret and validate shop drawings and submittals

Responsabilidades

• Leads advanced trade coordination on complex projects including clash detection and coordination meetings
• Manages Virtual Construction project setup and model administration
• Applies BIM Execution Plan requirements to define coordination needs and deliverables
• Independently produces BIM/VDC deliverables like trade drawings and overlay studies
• Establishes QA/QC procedures to ensure model accuracy and alignment with coordinates
• Collaborates with Field Engineering and Reality Capture for project integration
• Develops constructable solutions to coordination challenges
• Aligns VDC deliverables with project schedule milestones
• Provides mentorship to junior staff and promotes efficient workflows
• Supports cost management for VC projects and advances technology adoption
