Chevron Venezuela is seeking an Engineer, Wells for the PetroPiar JV, based in El Tigre, Edo. Anzóategui. You will develop detailed well designs for horizontal and extended reach wells, including T&D modeling, casing/BHA optimization, and cost/time estimation.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in well engineering, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and knowledge of WellPLAN, Stresscheck, and Compass. Spanish proficiency is required for Empresa Mixta communication.

Formación

• More than 15 years in Well Engineering Design and Operations, especially horizontal/extended reach wells.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge in WellPLAN, Stresscheck, Compass, and other D&C simulation programs.
• Field experience in D&C operations required.
• Risk management skills including Risk Assessment and Management of Change.
• Understanding of Drilling Hydraulics, Torque and Drag.

Responsabilidades

• Drilling and completion engineering and operational experience including horizontal wells.
• Independently deliver well design alternatives and time/cost estimates.
• Demonstrated competency applying technical standard requirements for well designs and execution.
• Experience with benchmarking and performance optimization across drilling and completion tasks.
• Experience supporting batch drilling / factory model across multiple projects.
• Maintain safety and follow procedures; communicate hazards and safeguards.
