Job summary

M365connect is seeking a Senior AI & Full-Stack Engineer for a fully remote, full-time position. You will develop applications across frontend and backend, integrate AI capabilities, and manage Linux infrastructure, databases, and deployment processes.

You will lead developers, mentor colleagues, coordinate outsourced contributors, and review external work. This role offers growth into broader technical leadership as the startup scales and explores new AI-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven senior-level experience delivering production web apps.
• Strong frontend with modern framework, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong backend with secure APIs, integrations, validation, and error handling.
• Practical AI or LLM integration experience, including latency and cost considerations.
• Hands-on AI coding assistants or agentic development workflows.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience including migrations, indexing, performance.
• Linux administration and Docker deployment experience.
• Understanding DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, firewalls, and reverse proxies.
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions; familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Strong Git, pull requests, code reviews, and release management skills.
• Experience leading a development team or coordinating technical delivery.
• Mentoring ability and ability to explain decisions clearly.
• Experience working with outsourced developers or distributed teams.
• Ability to work independently within a startup budget; long-term role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications across frontend and backend.
• Build AI-powered features, integrations, internal tools, and automations.
• Use AI coding assistants and coding agents with testing and human reviews.
• Translate business requirements into tasks and acceptance criteria.
• Design APIs, business logic, authentication, authorization, and third-party integrations.
• Manage database schemas, migrations, indexing, performance, backups and recovery.
• Administer Linux servers, including services, permissions, networking, updates.
• Build and maintain Docker environments and container orchestration.
• Maintain DNS, TLS certificates, reverse proxies, and security basics.
• Maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Perform deployments with migration checks and rollback procedures.
• Investigate production incidents and address root causes.
• Coordinate outsourced developers and review deliverables.
• Mentor developers through code reviews and demonstrations.
• Keep implementation proportionate, avoid unnecessary complexity.
