Reboot Monkey in Maracaibo, Venezuela, seeks an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance work on-site to support mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.

The role is contract/freelance with flexible scheduling and remote hands capabilities. Expect $8–12 USD per hour, depending on experience, with premium for emergency or after-hours work. Candidates should have 2+ years in data centers and solid English communication.

Formación

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills and knowledge of Cat5e/6/6a and fiber types.
• Proficient in server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Professional communication in English.
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS or similar) preferred.
• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) preferred.
• Experience with DCIM and ticketing systems preferred.
• Familiarity with major colocation providers preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site
• Professional communication skills in English
