IOM in Caracas is seeking a National Project Development Officer (NOA) for a special short-term assignment through 31 December 2026. The role focuses on developing and managing migration projects, liaising with authorities and NGOs to deliver results in a challenging field environment.

The candidate should hold a relevant degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and bring strong writing, analytical skills, and experience in project cycle management.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Business Administration, Migration Studies, International Relations, Law, or related field with two years of relevant professional experience; or, Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields.
  • Experience in migration issues, including operational and field experience, with project management, project development and other relevant technical experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the technical area particularly project development.
  • Experience liaising with governmental authorities, other national/international institutions, private sector and NGOs.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Business Administration, Migration Studies, International Relations, Law, or related field with two years of relevant professional experience; or, Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields.
  • Experience in the field of migration issues, including operational and field experience, with project management, project development and other relevant technical experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the technical area particularly project development.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, other national/international institutions, private sector and NGOs.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills, including the development of projects.
  • Takes responsibility for action and manages constructive criticisms.
  • Promotes continuous learning for self and others.
  • Listens and communicates clearly, adapting delivery to the audience.
  • Plans work, anticipates risks, and sets goals within area of responsibility.
  • Displays strong understanding of technical area.
