SGS, a leading Testing, Inspection & Certification company, seeks experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Inspectors to support inspection, quality assurance, maintenance and projects across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Refinery sectors in Venezuela.

Ideal candidates have 5–15 years in E&I inspection, hold an Electrical/Instrumentation engineering degree, and may possess relevant certifications. Travel to sites and coordination with clients, vendors and project teams are expected.

Formación

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5–15 years of experience.
• Certifications in Electrical & Instrumentation preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform inspection of electrical & instrumentation systems during project, construction, commissioning, maintenance, and shutdown activities.
• Inspect electrical equipment including transformers, switchgears, motors, control panels, MCCs, cables, and grounding systems.
• Verify installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation systems and field instruments.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, client requirements, drawings, and international standards.
• Witness functional testing, loop checks, calibration activities, and electrical testing procedures.
• Review electrical & instrumentation drawings, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
• Monitor contractor and vendor activities to ensure adherence to project quality requirements.
• Identify non-conformities and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
