SGS, the world’s leading Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) company, is seeking experienced Civil / Structural Inspectors to support inspection, quality assurance, and project activities in Venezuela.

Position focuses on inspecting foundations, buildings, and industrial structures, ensuring compliance with project specs and international standards, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to maintain quality records and safeguard safety.

Formación

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
5-15 years of experience in civil/structural inspection.
Knowledge of ACI, ASTM, BS, ISO, ASCE and related standards.
Certifications in civil inspection preferred.

Responsabilidades

Perform inspection of civil and structural works related to foundations, buildings, industrial structures, and infrastructure projects.
Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and client requirements.
Inspect reinforced concrete works, structural steel erection, grouting, foundations, and civil construction activities.
Verify material quality, construction methodologies, and workmanship standards.
Witness site testing activities including concrete testing, soil testing, and structural inspections.
Review construction drawings, inspection reports, quality documents, and material certificates.
Identify and report non-conformities and support corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and project teams to ensure quality compliance.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate project quality records.
Ensure compliance with SGS quality, safety, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform inspection of civil and structural works related to foundations, buildings, industrial structures, and infrastructure projects.
Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and client requirements.
Inspect reinforced concrete works, structural steel erection, grouting, foundations, and civil construction activities.
