BairesDev is seeking a Computer Scientist to tackle advanced algorithmic problems, working on inference, ranking, matching, classification, and optimization over massive datasets. You will design scalable algorithmic solutions, validate them in production, and collaborate with researchers and engineers to translate ambiguous requirements into robust systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or close to completion.
• Strong algorithms and data structures fundamentals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgment.
• Strong programming skills, with Python preferred; candidates with backgrounds in other general-purpose languages are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain production-quality software.
• Ability to reason about scalability, computational complexity, and performance tradeoffs.
• Comfort working on ambiguous, open-ended problems and progressively transforming them into well-defined computational solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

In this role, you'll tackle some of the hardest algorithmic problems in computer science, working on inference, ranking, matching, classification, and optimization over datasets containing hundreds of millions of entities and billions of relationships. This is not a backend, infrastructure, or data engineering role — the primary responsibility is formulating complex computational problems and designing scalable algorithmic solutions that can be validated and deployed in production.
