Qualifications

• National certification in group fitness instruction (e.g., ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) or YMCA certification required.
• Certification in area of expertise required.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.
• Child Abuse Prevention training required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming environment and build relationships with members and participants.
• Lead energizing, safe, and educational group fitness classes as directed by supervisor.
• Adapt to diverse health needs and abilities to support all participants.
• Answer questions with empathy to help members reach health and wellness goals.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and follow YMCA policies and procedures.
