Stafford County seeks a Code Enforcement Officer to enforce municipal, state, and federal codes related to land use and nuisance regulations within Planning and Zoning. You will respond to complaints, conduct site visits, prepare abatement actions, and gather evidence for cases.

Under minimal supervision, you will coordinate with the County Attorney, testify in court when needed, and help advance compliance through inspections, reviews, and public inquiries, contributing to safe, orderly

Qualificações

• Understanding zoning provisions, proffers, permit conditions and related codes.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans for zoning conformance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the public.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
• Enforce ordinances and document case files thoroughly.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate code violations and issue notices to obtain compliance.
• Conduct inspections and evaluate properties for zoning conformance.
• Present evidence to the Deputy Zoning Administrator for discussion.
• Respond to public inquiries about regulations and concerns.
• Prepare reviews of as-built compliance and proffer requirements.
• Enforce conditions of permits and rezoning proffers; assist with hearings.
• Maintain legal case correspondence and prepare related documents.
• Coordinate with County Attorney and testify in court when needed.
