Job summary

The Township is seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time Assistant Zoning Officer to assist with administration and enforcement of zoning regulations, review plans, conduct inspections, and support residents and applicants.

The successful candidate will maintain records, prepare reports, ensure compliance, and hold a valid New Jersey zoning official certification. Two years of relevant experience and a valid NJ driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in preparation/revision of building plans or inspection/enforcement of zoning/construction regulations.
• Valid zoning official certification required.
• Knowledge of zoning ordinances, land use regulations, and applicable laws.
• Effective communication with residents, contractors, professionals, and Township staff.
• Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and customer service skills.
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License required.
