Position Overview:
The Zone Team Leader (ZTL) provides guidance and direction for the successful operation of a specific zone within a store. The ZTL oversees a team passionate about merchandising and sales, ensuring exceptional associate and customer experiences. Responsibilities include all aspects of merchandising and customer service oversight.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Successfully execute established procedures for the assigned store zone, including merchandising, signage, displays, replenishment, pricing, ad sets, and daily recovery.
- Ensure store standards, Ops Center compliance, seasonal transition planning, inventory processes, and company programs meet operational expectations.
- Oversee the Door to Floor process to ensure proper planning, receipt, and stocking of merchandise.
- Supervise associates within the zone.
- Assign daily tasks to associates and monitor productivity.
- Maintain customer service standards.
- Manage scheduling and staffing for merchandise processing.
- Communicate company directives and ensure follow-up.
- Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years’ retail supervisory experience in a mid-size to large retail or service-oriented business.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Sound judgment and confidentiality.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of industry terms and processes.
- Effective communication and delegation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, twisting, gripping, reaching, and pinching.
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, balancing, and climbing.
- Operate a motor vehicle with a valid license.
