Job summary

Air Liquide is seeking a Zone Operations Manager in Bayport, TX to oversee GCPL facilities, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant production. The role involves leading zone initiatives, mentoring plant personnel, and coordinating with Plant Managers to meet targets and uphold regulatory standards.

The position emphasizes safety leadership, adherence to policies, and driving continuous improvement across operations within the GCPL zone.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or equivalent plus 5+ years of process industry experience.
• U.S. employment authorization without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Technical expertise in operation, enhancement, and maintenance of facilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interface with multiple support groups and communicate clearly.
• Ability to track and measure progress versus objectives and coach a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead Zone initiatives to ensure GCPL facilities meet production expectations in safety, efficiency and quality.
• Model exemplary safety behavior and lead by example to promote Zero Accidents.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and maintain Life Critical systems within area of responsibility.
• Act as Zone Operations Director as needed and support plant managers and operations managers.
• Drive Operational Excellence initiatives and mentor plant personnel to achieve GCPL targets.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (FDA, OSHA, EPA, etc.) and conduct safety reviews and PSSRs.
