Mercy Medical Center, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Day Shift Zone Mechanic to maintain and repair building systems and support a safe, reliable hospital environment.

You will service electrical, plumbing, and HVAC in assigned zones, perform minor carpentry, and ensure operations align with Mercy's mission. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license, with a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of general maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience with Meditech and Epic is a plus.

Requirements

• Education and Work Experience:
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
  • 3 years General maintenance
  • Valid Drivers License
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Other Requirements:
  • Basic trouble shooting, repairs and maintenance in electrical, plumbing and HVACR equipment and carpentry skills a plus.

Salary Information

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
