Job summary

Cornman Farms is hiring a dishwasher to support our kitchen team on a temporary basis from late September through late October. The role includes washing dishes, maintaining high sanitation standards, and adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Shifts require standing for long periods, with opportunities to earn an hourly tip pool that averages an additional $5 per hour. Weekend availability is essential.

Responsibilities

• Arrives on time for all scheduled shifts.
• Efficiently washes plates, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, cutting boards, and delicate china using dishwasher or 3 compartment sink.
• Properly washes, stacks and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, and uses chemical dilutions as required.
• Cleans floors, takes out trash, unloads and stores dishes and equipment.
• Keeps unwashed dishes organized and drains cleaned.
• Follows all SOPs and health/sanitation procedures, and company safety guidelines.

This position is eligible to participate in the Cornman Farms hourly tip pool, which averages an additional $5 per hour.

This is a temporary position running from September 28, 2026- October 26, 2026

These are the required shifts:

• Thursday, September 24
• Saturday, September 26
• Saturday, October 3
• Sunday, October 4
• Monday, October 5
• Saturday, October 10
• Monday, October 12
• Friday, October 16
• Saturday, October 17
• Monday, October 19
• Saturday, October 24
• Monday, October 26

Performance Expectations - Essential Functions

• Arrives on time for all scheduled shifts
• Efficiently washes plates, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, cutting boards, and delicate china utilizing automatic dishwasher and/or 3 compartment sink
• Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by EcoLab.
• Sweeps and mops floors in dishroom
• Takes out the trash and rinses garbage cans as needed
• Properly unloads, sorts and stores clean dishes, glasses & equipment appropriately
• Keeps unwashed dishes organized
• Cleans out drains and drain covers
• Uses existing systems to put away rental items
• Follows all standard operating procedures
• Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures, as well as Zingerman’s safety guidelines
• Follows and upholds all Zingerman’s Cornman Farms standards
• Completes all other tasks as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Stooping, Kneeling, and Crouching: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles
• Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands.
