Job summary

Georgetown University seeks a Coordinator, Zero Waste and Special Projects to advance campus sustainability on the Hilltop and Capitol Campuses. You will work with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to implement strategic initiatives and drive behavior change.

The role supports the Office of Sustainability with data collection and analysis for reporting, aligning programming with Georgetown's sustainability goals and campus operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience contributing to progressively complex project implementation in an environmental science focused organization, higher education preferred.
  • Experience supporting and collaborating with senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including grammar, spelling and composition.
  • exceptionally strong organizational skills with diplomacy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing optimization of Georgetown's Zero Waste initiatives at Hilltop and Capitol Campuses.
  • Assist in advancing the sustainability strategic plan through special projects.
  • Interact with faculty, staff, students, leadership, and external partners to implement strategic initiatives.
  • Aid data collection and analysis for internal and external reporting purposes.
