Full Time • Corsicana Texas

GT Solar Maintenance, a leader in solar field energy vegetation management, is hiring Zero Turn Mower Operators to join our regional crews. This position offers competitive pay, opportunities for growth, and the chance to work outdoors across multiple states. Most work will be based in Texas with smaller crews going to Utah, Idaho, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. This is a traveling position and you will be required to go to different sites depending on scheduling and operational demands. GT Solar Maintenance provides training, lodging for overnight stays, and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate zero-turn mowers to mow solar fields, ensuring precision around solar panels.
• Operate a string trimmer whenever mowing is not a sufficient solution.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
• Assist with basic equipment checks and minor maintenance tasks.

• Experience with zero-turn mowers or similar equipment is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, dust, and rain.
• Reliable, adaptable, and willing to learn.
• MUST have a reliable vehicle or dependable transportation to job sites and out of state.

Compensation and Benefits

• Daily Pay: $10-$15 per hour, based on experience.
• Per Diem: $68/day for meals and expenses during travel.
• Additional bonuses for attendance, job completion, and performance.
• Referral Bonus: Current employees receive $500 for successful referrals ($100 after 30 days, $400 after 90 days).
• Retirement and insurance benefits available after 6 months.
• Hourly compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Work 5–6 days per week, with occasional overnight trips lasting 1–3 weeks. Travel schedules are planned 2–4 weeks in advance.
• Typical workdays range from 10–12 hours, depending on the site and weather.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including hot, dusty, and wet environments.
• Employees must supply acceptable work pants, boots, and shirts. GT Solar provides all other PPE, including face masks, ear protection, gloves, and more.
