Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Zero Trust Security Architect to design and implement secure connectivity across global cloud and hybrid environments. The role focuses on ZTNA, Zscaler, SASE, and SSE technologies to enable secure business operations.

The ideal candidate will lead architecture efforts, engage stakeholders, and drive security transformation with hands-on experience across cloud, network, and identity security domains.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Security Architecture, Network Security, Cloud Security, or Enterprise Security Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Zero Trust Architecture, ZTNA, Identity-Aware Access Controls, and secure connectivity solutions.
• Hands-on with Zscaler technologies including ZIA, ZPA, DLP, policy management, and cloud-delivered security services.
• Experience with AWS/Azure and multi-cloud security, networking, and identity services.
• Excellent architecture documentation, stakeholder management and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise Zero Trust security architectures spanning identity, endpoints, apps, networks and data access.
• Architect secure connectivity including cloud VPN, site-to-site VPN, remote access, ZTNA, and hybrid-cloud access.
• Design and optimize Zscaler capabilities (ZIA/ZPA, DLP, policy enforcement) across environments.
• Define identity-aware access models based on least-privilege and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Provide architecture oversight and guidance to ensure alignment with security standards.
• Evaluate Zscaler, SASE, SSE, VPN technologies based on business and security requirements.
• Lead security integration for mergers and acquisitions and enterprise-scale network transformations.
