Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Zero Trust Security Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure connectivity across global cloud and hybrid environments. This role focuses on ZTNA, Zscaler, cloud VPN architectures, SASE, and SSE to enable secure business operations and support merger and acquisition initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Security Architecture or related roles.
• Strong expertise in Zero Trust Architecture and ZTNA.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Zscaler technologies (ZIA/ZPA) and cloud security.
• Experience in designing enterprise cloud VPN, hybrid-cloud networking, and secure connectivity.
• Knowledge of SASE, SSE, cloud-native security architectures, and modern network security principles.
• Experience with AWS/Azure or multi-cloud environments and identity systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise Zero Trust architectures across identity, endpoints, applications, networks, and data access paths.
• Architect secure connectivity solutions including cloud VPN, site-to-site VPN, remote access, ZTNA, and hybrid-cloud access models.
• Lead Zscaler implementation and policy enforcement (ZIA, ZPA, DLP).
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to embed controls and governance requirements.
• Define and monitor security metrics and drive continuous improvement.
