Job summary

Pueo Business Solutions LLC seeks a Zero Trust Current-State Architect to map and document the organization’s existing architecture, systems, data flows, and security controls. You will interview stakeholders, trace dependencies, and produce baseline artifacts for future-state planning.

The role focuses on current-state analysis across service and organization boundaries, building authoritative CONOPS and diagrams to support modernization and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, or related STEM discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, systems engineering, cybersecurity architecture, business architecture, systems analysis, operational analysis, or related roles.
• Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, architecture discovery, current-state assessments, process mapping, interface documentation, CONOPS development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct current-state architecture discovery on a service-by-service and organization-by-organization basis, documenting mission workflows, legacy systems, applications, data flows, infrastructure platforms, interfaces, security tools, and operational processes.
• Develop architecture drawings, dependency maps, interface diagrams, system context diagrams, workflow views, sequence maps, and CONOPS products explaining the current environment.
• Interview system owners, mission stakeholders, engineers, operators, security teams, and program personnel to collect, validate, and reconcile architecture information.
• Investigate and reverse-engineer undocumented interfaces, data exchanges, access paths, dependencies, control points, and business logic across distributed environments.
• Capture As-Is CONOPS, operational scenarios, user journeys, mission threads, handoffs, decision points, data movements, and system interactions for future use.
