Job summary

ShorePoint, LLC is seeking a Zero Trust Architect / SME (Q/Top Secret) to lead strategic and technical Zero Trust security design across complex federal environments. You will translate mission requirements into secure, scalable architectures and work with senior leadership to guide modernization efforts.

This role requires extensive experience with NIST SP 800-207, DOE/DoD guidance, and IAM/MFA implementations. Onsite in Washington, DC with opportunities to shape enterprise security programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 15+ years experience with bachelor's, 10+ with master's or 6+ with PhD.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Zero Trust in federal environments.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-207, OMB M-22-09, EO 14028.
• Experience with IAM modernization, PKI, MFA.
• Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Active DOE Q or equivalent DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Advise government leadership on strategy, implementation and modernization of Zero Trust solutions.
• Develop current-state assessments, gap analyses and target-state ZTAs.
• Translate mission requirements into Zero Trust architectures and system designs.
• Design and document Zero Trust reference architectures for identity, device, network, workload, data and app security.
• Lead roadmaps, sequencing and transition plans for Zero Trust programs.
• Collaborate with engineers and mission partners to implement ZTA controls across environments.
• Produce technical documentation and briefing materials for government leadership.
