Job summary

IMI plc is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join our Life Science Team in Farmington, CT. You will program and operate ZEISS CMMs with CALYPSO, perform first article, in-process, and final inspections, and verify GD&T conformance against drawings and customer specs.

Strong manual inspection skills and Excel reporting are required. We offer competitive hourly pay: $35–$45/hr, aligned with skills and experience, and a comprehensive benefits package in a collaborative, inclusive environment

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
Hands-on experience operating and programming ZEISS CMMs with CALYPSO.
Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Program, operate, and troubleshoot ZEISS CMMs using CALYPSO.
Develop and optimize CMM inspection programs for parts.
Perform first article, in-process, final, and capability inspections.
Interpret drawings, blueprints, specs and quality standards.
Conduct manual inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gages, bore gages, and optical comparators.
Verify GD&T conformance and customer specs.
Analyze inspection data and generate Excel reports.
Investigate dimensional nonconformances and support root cause analysis.
Maintain calibration awareness and proper equipment care.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues.
Support continuous improvement and quality system requirements.
