Job summary

The Artinger lab at the University of Minnesota is seeking a part-time assistant to support molecular and developmental biology work. You will assist with solution making, genotyping, and maintaining lab zebrafish colony records alongside the PI and lab members.

Responsibilities include 10% solution making, 75% zebrafish colony maintenance with genotyping and records, and 15% molecular biology techniques such as DNA cloning and in situ hybridization, all while collaborating closely with the lab

Qualifications

• Required: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; four years total education/experience.
• Strong organization, motivation, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; effective written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with molecular and developmental biology techniques.
• Support maintenance of zebrafish colony records, genotyping, and zebrafish care.
• Perform solution preparation and support DNA cloning, in situ hybridization, and related techniques.
