Job summary

Zaxby's Gainesville is hiring Team Members to help with front-of-house or back-of-house operations. Depending on experience and interest, you may be trained as a cashier or a cook and cross-trained to support guests, food prep, and maintaining a clean restaurant.

Open interviews daily 2-4 p.m. You may greet guests, take orders, operate POS, stock, and keep dining areas welcoming. No prior experience required; you must be 16 or older and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Engage in friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests.
• Greet guests as they enter and thank them as they leave.
• Assist with preparation of food.

• Explain menu items, answer questions, and suggest additional items.
• Accurately complete orders and guest transactions.
• Enter guest orders into the point of sale system.
• Accept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receipts.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment.
• Stock paper goods, condiments, serveware, and beverages.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Other work assigned.

Open interviews, walk-ins welcome, from 2 - 4 p.m. every day

Team Members will assist in front-of-house or back-of-house operations. Depending on experience and interest, you may be trained to be a cashier or a cook with us. We love to cross-train our team members. You will do things like assisting a guest with placing an order, helping with food preparation, or assisting with keeping the restaurant clean.

Job Qualifications

The following requirements must be met to qualify for this position.

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Sense of urgency

Capabilities Requirement

• Sit, stand and walk continuously
• Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including the use of ladders
• Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including lifting overhead
• Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
• Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing
• Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgement to observe and respond to the environment
• Work in an environment that features hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
• Operate and work safely with restaurant equipment including, but not limited to, knives, fryers, and potentially hazardous equipment

Responsibilities

• The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities and complete all training requirements, including:
• Zaxby's Front of House or Back of House Development Plan
• Hands-on stations training
• Provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests
• Promptly greet guests as they enter and thank them as they leave
• Assist with preparation of food

• Accurately complete orders and guest transactions
• Enter guest orders accurately into the point of sale system
• Accept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receipts
• Handle cash payments, count and verify tills, and record totals appropriately
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment
• Clean and maintain guest areas including dining room, counters, bathrooms, and building exterior
• Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs
• Stock paper goods, condiments, serveware, and beverages
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Accurately complete, package, and present guest orders
