Edge Sports Global LLC is seeking a dependable Zamboni Assistant to support our rink operations at Bridgewater Ice Arena in Bridgewater, MA. The role is primarily janitorial, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for athletes and families, not driving the Zamboni.

We offer flexible hours with part-time or full-time possibilities. The ideal candidate is reliable, team‑oriented, customer‑friendly, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a cold arena environment.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or facility maintenance experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be physically able to lift, bend, push/pull, and stand for extended periods
• Must be able to work in a cold environment
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills required
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
• Must be a team player with a customer-first mindset

Responsibilities

• Perform daily janitorial tasks including cleaning locker rooms, restrooms, common areas, and spectator stands
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility
• Mop, sweep, and maintain floors and walkways
• Assist with rink setup and breakdown (moving nets, benches, dividers)
• Support Zamboni Drivers with edging, ice patching, and resurfacing prep (not driving)
• Shovel excess snow from ice surface after resurfacing
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to guests
• Contribute to a safe working environment by following facility guidelines

Reports To: Edge Sports Global LLC - Facility Manager

Position Summary:

Edge Sports Global LLC is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Zamboni Assistant to support our rink operations team in our Bridgewater Massachusetts Location. While this role does not involve operating the Zamboni, the assistant plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in maintaining a clean, safe, and customer-friendly environment. The majority of this position is janitorial—ideal for individuals who take pride in cleanliness, reliability, and teamwork, and a love of sports!

The ideal candidate will be friendly, helpful, and committed to supporting the daily functions of the arena, assisting staff and patrons alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily janitorial tasks including:
  • Cleaning locker rooms, restrooms, common areas, and spectator stands
  • Emptying trash and recycling bins throughout the facility
  • Mopping, sweeping, and general upkeep of floors and walkways
  • Ensuring a clean and sanitary environment for all guests and employees
    
• Assist with rink setup and breakdown including:
  • Moving nets, benches, and dividers
  • Keeping player areas tidy between games and practices
    
• Support Zamboni Drivers by:
  • Assisting with edging, ice patching, and resurfacing prep (not driving)
  • Shoveling excess snow from the ice surface after a resurface was made.
  • Monitoring and maintaining adequate supplies (towels, soap, toilet paper, etc.)
    
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to guests
  • Respond to questions and direct guests as needed
  • Maintain a helpful, team-first attitude when interacting with patrons and staff
    
• Contribute to a safe working environment by following facility guidelines and reporting any hazards or issues to supervisors
