Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Zscaler Engineer to own and optimize enterprise Zscaler environments across ZIA, ZPA, Zscaler for Workloads and ZDX for a confidential client in the United States.

You will design, configure, and administer security and traffic policies, manage disaster recovery, and serve as the senior technical point of contact to translate complex issues for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaboration with networking, security, and cloud teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Zscaler engineering experience.
• Deep experience across ZIA, ZPA, Zscaler for Workloads, and ZDX.
• Proven ZIA/ZPA disaster recovery experience and a current Zscaler certification.
• Able to troubleshoot complex enterprise networking and security issues independently.
• Strong communication skills with clients.
• Willing to cover Eastern and Central US time zones.

We're working with a confidential enterprise client to find a Senior Zscaler Engineer who can take ownership of a complex, multi-platform security environment — ZIA, ZPA, Zscaler for Workloads, and ZDX — and operate with the independence and confidence of someone who's done this before, at scale.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Proven ZIA/ZPA disaster recovery experience and a current Zscaler certification.

• Confidence troubleshooting complex enterprise networking and security issues independently.

• The communication skills to be the calm, credible voice in the room — with clients, not just colleagues.

• Flexibility to cover Eastern and Central US time zones.

Nice to have: Zscaler Digital Transformation Engineer certification, experience with Zscaler Branch Connectors, and time spent inside large enterprise Zscaler deployments.
