Job summary

Data Search Network Inc. is seeking a MAINFRAME Z/OS Performance Analyst to drive performance tuning and capacity planning across a global, high-demand environment. The role emphasizes strong SAS programming skills and extensive experience with Z/OS performance tools.

The position is fully remote, with no H1B sponsorship, and requires hands-on analysis of CPU/I/O, SMF data, and workload management policies to optimize system utilization and reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge base of Z/OS performance and tuning is required.
• Capacity planning experience is essential.
• Ability to analyze CPU and I/O performance metrics.
• Experience with SMF records is required.
• Experience implementing WLM policy changes.
• SAS programming is a must.
• Familiarity with MXG reporting tools.
• Familiarity with RMF Monitor and OMEGAMON.
• Experience with diagnostic tools (Freeze Frame).
• Ability to multitask in a high-demand global environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Z/OS performance and tuning requirements.
• Conduct capacity planning and optimize workloads.
• Analyze CPU and I/O usage and make recommendations.
• Leverage SMF data to drive performance improvements.
• Adjust WLM policies to align with demand.
• Utilize SAS for data analysis and reporting.
• Use MXG to produce performance reports.
• Monitor RMF Monitor and OMEGAMON outputs.
• Apply diagnostic tools (Freeze Frame) for issue triage.
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced global environment.
