Job summary

HRB in New Jersey is seeking an Automation Mainframe Engineer specializing in CA OPS/MVS, z/Linux, and mainframe automation products. You will gather functional requirements, diagnose errors, and develop problem reports to support z/OS infrastructure automation using OPSMVS and OmegaMon/BMC tools.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication to coordinate with other departments; team operates in a hybrid onsite schedule (3–4 days on site) within the US client environment.

Qualifications

• Gather functional requirements for mainframe automation projects.
• Diagnose errors and develop problem reports for z/OS environments.
• Exposure to OPSMVS, z/Linux and automation products is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support Z/OS mainframe infrastructure automation using OPSMVS.
• Coordinate with CA OPS and operator products teams.
• Leverage OmegaMon/BMC tools for monitoring and automation.
• Communicate effectively with other departments (written/verbal).
