Job summary

Victoria College invites applications for part-time instructors to teach in-person lab sections of General Biology, Microbiology, and Anatomy & Physiology.

Compensation is based on instructional units, with $655.67 per unit. A Bachelor's in the relevant field is required; online teaching experience with Canvas is preferred, and a commitment to student diversity and academic excellence is expected. This position supports a diverse student population in Texas.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in area of concentration (unofficial transcripts are required)
• For applicants interested in teaching online classes, experience with Canvas is preferred.
• A demonstrated commitment to serving a diverse array of students, to the community college mission, and to academic excellence.
• Preferred: Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in area of concentration (unofficial transcripts are required for all graduate level work)
• College teaching experience preferred.

• Teach in-person lab portions of General Biology, Microbiology, and/or Anatomy and Physiology.

Victoria College Division of Science, Math, & PE has openings for part-time instructors to teach the in person lab portions of General Biology, Microbiology, and/or Anatomy and Physiology.

Salary Based on Instructional Units(one instructional unit is equivalent to 16 contact hours per semester).

$655.67 /per instructional unit in the Fall/Spring/SummerProvide instruction to students in a meaningful classroom and/or laboratory learning environment.
