Job summary

YTMG LTD is seeking a full-time YouTube Strategist & Production Lead to decide content, packaging, and storytelling for two documentary-style channels serving a US audience. You will own ideation, packaging, scripts, production calendars, and weekly production calls, driving growth and retention with data-driven experiments.

You will lead writers, researchers, voice actors, editors and designers, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality output across long-form content.

Qualifications

3+ years in YouTube strategy, production or channel growth on long-form content.
Proven long-form growth with links and a clear explanation of personal changes.
Videos that repeatedly reached 400k+ views within 30 days, ideally several over 1M.
Strong judgement on ideas, titles, thumbnails, hooks and story structure.
Advanced YouTube Studio and Analytics skills.
Experience directly managing writers, researchers, voice actors, editors and designers against deadlines.
Ability to manage more than one channel at a time without lowering quality.
Excellent written and spoken English, and comfort owning measurable targets.

Responsibilities

Ideation and topics: run research and maintain a 6–8 week idea pipeline; brief writers.
Packaging: finalize thumbnails, titles, and hooks; run A/B tests and refresh videos.
Scripts and retention: read scripts and optimize hooks, pacing, and payoffs.
Production leadership: manage production calendar across channels and teams.
Production calls: lead weekly calls with clear decisions, owners and deadlines.
Analytics: review metrics regularly and turn data into experiments.
