Job summary

Junior Achievement of South Florida, Inc. is seeking a YouthBuild Manager to implement and sustain the YouthBuild program across its training sites in the Fort Lauderdale area.

This onsite role requires early mornings, some evenings, and occasional weekends to support program days and activities. The YouthBuild Manager will coordinate facilities, materials, and equipment planning, manage a direct report, and work closely with the YouthBuild/Pre-Apprenticeship Director to ensure successful

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree requirement in education, workforce development, human services, public administration, or related field.
• Five years of progressive experience in youth development, workforce development, pre‑apprenticeship, career readiness, or education‑based programming.
• Experience coordinating and delivering programs for youth, including day‑to‑day logistics and participant engagement.
• Ability to facilitate curriculum and group learning experiences with strong presentation skills.
• Experience working with youth facing barriers to education and employment.
• Ability to build and manage relationships with employers, instructors, volunteers, and community partners.
• Experience supporting program evaluation and continuous improvement (surveys, pre/post assessments).
• Basic experience with program budgeting or expense tracking; support budget oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement student recruitment plan to ensure annual growth and apprentice quality.
• Create, update and facilitate the YouthBuild program curriculum.
• Plan, organize and implement all YouthBuild Program days and activities.
• Facilitate ongoing program evaluation and correction based on feedback.
• Maintain CANVAS platform to ensure quality control and growth.
• Develop matching matrix to ensure healthy job placements.
• Coordinate with volunteers, instructors and employers to align program days with requirements.
• Manage and grow the YouthBuild Program and assist Director with budget oversight.
