Job summary

The Los Angeles Conservation Corps is seeking a YouthBuild Classroom Instructor to deliver math and academic instruction while supporting participants in achieving educational and workforce goals.

You will implement the NCCER Construction Curriculum, monitor progress, and collaborate with program staff to ensure participant success in a safe, structured learning environment. Experience with youth development and strong classroom management are valued.

Qualifications

• Teaching Credential required.
• Experience with youth programs or 18-24-year-olds preferred.
• Knowledge of basic math instruction and construction-related curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction in mathematics and other subjects to help participants reach educational goals.
• Deliver and reinforce the NCCER Construction Curriculum through classroom activities and assessments.
• Monitor progress, provide tutoring and intervention as needed.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and report concerns.
