Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in workforce development, job placement, or career counseling.
• Experience with WIOA, DYCD, or other publicly funded youth workforce programs preferred; familiarity with WIOA measures a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messages to audiences.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure worksites for paid and unpaid work experience placements by researching and cultivating partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and industries suitable for WIOA-eligible youth participants.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers, community leaders, and stakeholders to promote GK participants; represent GK at networking events, job fairs, and industry conferences.
• Assess the skills, interests, and career goals of GK participants to match them with suitable work experience and employment opportunities; provide coaching on resumes, interviews, and workplace readiness.
• Act as liaison between GK participants and employers to facilitate placement, onboarding, and ongoing support; advocate for underserved youth.
• Ensure accurate documentation for internship placements in compliance with WIOA, DYCD, and organizational reporting requirements; track participant progress and collect feedback for improvement.
• Collaborate with program managers to develop initiatives that enhance employability skills, such as workshops, mentorship programs, and skill-building activities.
• Maintain records of job placements, participant profiles, and employer partnerships using relevant databases and generate reports on outcomes.
