Job summary

The Brien Center seeks a Wellness Educator to provide substance abuse training and consultation to youth service organizations and schools in the Pittsfield area. The role emphasizes program design, assessment, and collaboration with clinicians to promote recovery and wellness among adolescents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services-related field required.
• Experience with adolescents encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance abuse training and consultation to youth service organizations and school systems.
• Plan and design programs in response to needs of requesting schools and organizations with supervisor input.
• Assess adolescents referred for evaluation and provide substance abuse education in group or individual settings.
• Assist in referring identified youth to outpatient services and support families in sessions.
• Administer GAIN surveys to youth referred for services.
• Collaborate with clinicians on substance abuse assessment and treatment.
