Job summary

Northwest Passage Ltd. seeks an Instructor to create educational programming for youth in a residential treatment setting in Frederic, WI.

The role includes direct care, supervision, and hands-on learning experiences, with activities from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, in a supportive, therapeutic environment. The position emphasizes youth engagement, safety, structured routines, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to help youths grow and thrive through experiential

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a social or behavioral science field or equivalent experience in a related area
• Wisconsin teaching license, preferred
• Proven experience working with youth who have significant mental health needs
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to follow through on commitments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse groups
• Ability to adapt to change in a residential setting

Responsibilities

• Provide close supervision of youth across residential, outdoor, and community settings
• Develop, coordinate, and execute educational programming initiatives
• Integrate routines to provide a safe and structured environment
• Ensure youths’ basic needs are met including nutrition, exercise, hygiene, and rest
• Build connections with youth and model effective relational and communication skills
• Respond proactively to youths’ behaviors and support regulation and problem-solving
