Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a youth sports program assistant to plan, instruct and supervise activities for children and teens. You will teach sport drills, ensure safety, promote the YMCA values, and engage families to create a positive, inclusive experience.

Responsibilities include preparing activity spaces, recording program info, attending staff trainings and supporting events. Flexible evenings and weekend hours are required to accommodate program schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a youth program or sports setting.
• Ability to promote YMCA values and maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Comfort teaching basic sports drills and rules to youth.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and supervise sport-specific drills for youth participants.
• Promote YMCA core values and foster positive engagement with members.
• Maintain program areas, equipment and records; assist with events and trainings.
