Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program seeks a Contingent Ancillary Services Treatment Advocate to support adolescents, youth and families across Trumbull County. The role involves transportation to appointments, developing treatment plans, and direct advocacy with clients and partners.

The position offers flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and hands-on experience in mental and behavioral health settings, with opportunities for professional growth and community impact.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher preferred; GED/HS diploma required.
• Experience in child welfare preferred.
• Daily travel required with flexible schedule including non-traditional hours as needed.
• Reliable telephone and communications.
• Proficient use of word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions as needed with clients while transporting to and from appointments.
• Participate in development of youth treatment/service plans.
• Interact with youth to develop trusting, supportive relationships and assist in achieving goals.
• Provide PSR and/or TBS Services (Training Provided).
• Engage clients; document conversations and outcomes and submit paperwork for billing.
• Identify outside resources and services in the community for youth development and goal attainment.
• Assist in family reunification efforts with youths’ primary family or other permanent living arrangements.
• Assist in crisis situations (daytime, afternoon, evenings, overnights, weekends).
