Job summary

Youth Opportunity is hiring a Transporter at Harpeth Primary Assessment Center in Nashville, TN. You will transport youth to and from the program and other activities, operate vehicles safely, and assist staff to ensure youth safety during transport.

The role requires safe driving experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a secure, trauma-informed environment for youth. A supportive career path and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior safe driving experience and proven safe driving record.
• Ability to relate to a wide diversity of youth and adults.
• Two years’ work experience with youth preferred.
• Familiarity with residential treatment or youth programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled transportation for youth to and from the program.
• Develop and maintain efficient pick-up and delivery route schedules.
• Operate vans safely and in accordance with YOI policies and traffic laws.
• Maintain, inspect, clean, and perform basic vehicle maintenance on assigned vehicles.
• Complete vehicle safety checklists before and after each use.
• Supervise youth during transport and ensure safe behavior.
• Report unsafe vehicle issues or incidents immediately.
