Beacon Center Inc. 2.0 offers supportive housing and long-term assistance to youth experiencing homelessness, aging out of foster care, and young parents.

The AmeriCorps VISTA project will strengthen infrastructure by creating standardized tools, curricula, procedures, referral systems, training resources, and evaluation methods for staff and interns. The VISTA will develop an independent-living curriculum, facilitator guides, training materials, data-tracking systems, and sustainability

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating program activities and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to develop tools, curricula, and evaluation resources for youth services.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with documentable results.

Responsibilities

• Assess current youth-transition and case-management framework and identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Develop standardized transition-planning tools, an independent-living curriculum, and staff/training materials.
• Design data-collection tools and measures for housing, education, employment, healthcare, and outcomes.
